Equine Reiki Sessions Are Open for the Summer!

Some healing happens through words. Some happens through quiet presence.

Horses have a unique way of inviting us out of our busy minds and back into the present moment. They don't ask us to be anything other than who we are. In their presence, many people find themselves breathing a little deeper, softening a little more, and reconnecting with parts of themselves that have been overlooked amid the demands of everyday life.

At Amberlight Healing in Palmer, Alaska, our Equine Reiki sessions combine the gentle practice of Reiki with the grounding presence of Major, our horse partner.

Each session begins with time to connect with Major and settle into the space. We then move into a Reiki session designed to promote relaxation, balance, and inner calm. Following the Reiki, you'll have time to simply be with him—to reflect, integrate, and experience the quiet connection that horses so naturally offer.

Horses are masters of presence. As highly sensitive animals, they are deeply attuned to their surroundings and communicate through subtle awareness rather than words. Spending time with a calm horse can help us slow our breathing, quiet mental chatter, and shift out of a constant state of doing. Many people notice a greater sense of grounding and nervous system regulation during and after an equine session. This state of calm is often associated with increased heart coherence—a balanced rhythm between the heart, mind, and body that supports emotional well-being, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection.

Equine Reiki is not about riding or horsemanship. No horse experience is necessary. It is an opportunity to step away from the noise of daily life, slow down, and experience the healing power of presence, nature, and connection.

Whether you're seeking peace, renewal, emotional balance, or simply a moment to breathe, Equine Reiki offers a gentle space to reconnect with yourself—guided by the wisdom and quiet companionship of a horse.
